Former President Jimmy Carter implored fellow Baptists on Saturday to look beyond a range of doctrinal disputes that have split the denomination, and urged them to focus on reconciling under a common cause.
That's the way to do it, Jimmy. Just call that disagreeable stuff "doctrine", and make your agenda the "common cause".
