Ayesha Takia: Salaam E Ishq: A Tribute To Love

Salaam E Ishq: A Tribute To Love was Ayesha Takia's first release of 2006. Salaam-e-ishq is the story of 6 groups of people and their love stories. These people come from different parts of the world, from different walks of life... Ignorant about each other's existence, they end up being brought together by destiny, fate and love.

The movie has a huge starcast including Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Anil Kapoor, Juhi Chawla, Akshaye Khanna, Ayesha Takia, John Abraham, Vidya Balan, Govinda, Shannon Esra, Sohail Khan and Isha Koppikar in lead roles. Ayesha Takia plays the role of Gia Bakshi in the movie and she looks so so cute in the movie but sadly we don't get to see much of her...

Here I am putting one song from the movie... although she appears in the song bit late (after 3 minites) but she is so beatiful with her changed look and hair do that its worth the wait...

miri trip - recap

A while ago, I was on a trip to Miri, for some company assignment.

My flight was scheduled to depart at 7.10am, but only to be delayed due to weather conditioning. It was foggy. Visibility was too low for clearance.

Since wasn't doing anything, I took my phone and started snapping. Actually I snapped some with my DSLR, but those will be shown later. So, be patient.

Ayesha Takia did one Telegu movie, Super. This movie was released in July, 2005 and stars Akkineni Nagarjuna, Sonu Sood, and Anushka Shetty apart from Ayesha Takia. In this movie Ayesha Takia plays the role of a doctor, Siri Valli.

Ayesha Takia: Dil Maange More

After Taarzan, Ayesha Takia's next movie was Dil Maange More that was released in 2004. This movie is a light-hearted comedy and Ayesha plays the role of 'Shagun' in this movie.

Enjoy three different videos from the movie... First one is the song 'Tumne chahe kaha na maine sun lia'. She is superb in this song and looks very very cute as usual... Second video is a catfight scene from the movie where all three heroines viz., Tulip Joshi, Ayesha Takia & Soha Ali Khan fights over Shahid Kapoor... quiet may

I have been quite quiet in month of May.

There aren't many photographs for me to show here, and there wasn't any notable events going on in this month.

Just before the month ends later, I thought I could do a recap for the month of May.

10th May: James turned a year older on this day.

On sports update, Manchester United has ended their title drought with 2 games to spare, after beating city rivals Manchester City. Chelsea failed to match the result they needed as they could only manage a 1 - 1 draw with Arsenal.

However, Chelsea beat Manchester United 1-0 at the new Wembley Stadium on 19 May after extra time. Manchester United were the better sides for most of the match, and only to be beaten by a rare genius by Didier Drogba, who was pretty quiet throughout the match, in the dying minutes of the game.

Congrats to Chelsea, who had their consolation of the season, after losing their league title to Manchester United, and being eliminated from Champions League by Liverpool.

Moving to United States, NBA Playoff 2007 will see San Antonio Spurs taking on Utah Jazz in the Western Conference Finals, while Lebron James will lead Cavaliers up against old foe Detroit Pistons in the East.

I'll be away again later this week. Sibu, 24-25 May and Miri 28-29 May.

Ayesha Takia: Socha Na Tha

Lets now come back to the career of our celebrity of the month, Ayesha Takia. Her next movie after Tarzan was 'Dil Maange More'. But lets us first discuss about 'Socha Na Tha', the first movie she signed ever...

In this movie Ayesha Takia plays the role of Aditi Malhotra. The story is about a boy (Abhay Deol)who was forced to "see" a girl (Ayesha Takia), whom he have to marry with. But the girl and boy, follows the constraints they made at their first meet, and , unfortunately, were unable to follow it. Ayesha looks as great as ever!

Life in a Metro: Movie Review

Let me tell you about the movie I saw last weekend... Life in a Metro... The movie is about dreams and relations of people in fast moving metros... In fact it is the story of seven people interwoven together and narrated very well... The lead cast is Kay Kay Menon, Shilpa Shetty, Sharman Joshi, Kangana Ranaut, Konkona Sen Sharma and Irfan Khan... And the music is composed by Pritam with lyrics by Sayeed Quadri...

The people to watch out in the movie are Kangana Ranaut and Irfan Khan... Kangana with her new looks in the movie is stunning... I never liked her so much before this movie... I would say its a total paisa wasool even if you just watch her in the movie... Irfan Khan is the only person in the movie who will make you laugh and divert your attention from the heavy dose of realtionship trauma in the movie... Others have also played their characters well... Another high point of the movie is its music... too well!!

Nice movie... I would certainly recommend you to watch it once... Enjoy guys!

Ayesha Takia: Taarzan The Wonder Car

Ayesha Takia's first movie that was released was 'Taarzan - The Wonder Car'. Although she had signed 'Socha Na Tha' before Taarzan but delays in making that film made Taarzan her "debut" movie. She plays the role of Priya Rakesh Kapoor. Ayesha Takia won Filmfare Best Debut Award (2004) and also IIFA Best Debut award (2004) for Taarzan. Ayesha Takia: Complan Girl

Let us start on Ayesha Takia from where she started her career... The Complan Ad Campaign... In this ad Ayesha Takia was cast with Shahid Kapoor as siblings... Who can forget that Complan Ad where Shahid teases her as he has grown up being a 'Complan Boy'... and then she drinks Complan, grows up and matches his height and says that she too is a 'Complan Girl'...

I tried to search alot to grab the video of that advertisement but couldn't succeed... will update this post as soon as find one...

Ayesha Takia and Shahid Kapoor still has long way to go... they were paired in the Dil Maange More some time ago but it did not fare well at the Box Office... Still we will see them in action once again in the soon-to-be-released Fool N Final.

Ayesha Takia: Celebrity of the Month

Let us start this month with another of my HOT favorite, AYESHA TAKIA. She was born on April 10, 1985 in Mumbai.

Ayesha Takia has been a model since she was four years old. She appeared in the famous I'm a Complan Boy! I'm a Complan Girl! campaign alongside Shahid Kapoor and also in a music video, Falguni Pathak's Meri Chunar Udd Udd Jaye, when she was only fifteen. She then appeared in the video, Shake It Daddy.

Ayesha Takia signed a contract for Socha Na Tha & then for Taarzan: The Wonder Car. However, delays in making Socha Na Tha meant that Taarzan released first and was therefore her "debut" film.

Ayesha Takia won the Filmfare Best Debut Award in 2004 for her performance in Taarzan. She has been highly praised for her work in the 2006 Dor, a smaller budget film in which she plays the role of a young widowed Rajasthani woman living in a traditional joint family. She went on to win a Zee Cine Critics Award for Best Actress for her performance in the film Dor.

This month I will try to post maximum that I can get on her and will try to get the Complan advertisement that launched her to the celeb world... :D

fatigue

"Short Note: Looking back at my recent posts, I haven't had chance to do proper updates lately. The only posts I did were the fashion show ones, which were all done during my course week in Kuching. Sigh. "


Back in Kuching, and I'm feeling fatigue.

Tired, and sick. That's all I'm feeling right now.

For the month of April, I am only in my own office, table for accumulative figure of 6 days! I'm only in my own office for a bloody 6 days!! 6 out of 20 working days in April!!

I truly need a break from work! A beach vacation.. or maybe a KL trip.

Or maybe.. a trip to the land below the wind - KK.
