Village mob thwarts Google Street View car: Times of London (UK)



Angry villagers formed a human chain to thwart the progress of a Google Street View car that was in the process of taking photographs of their homes.

The end does not justify the means. When a mob wins, it only encourages them to do it again.


I am not sure that the end in this case is a good thing: How can you make one rule for any photographer and another rule Google's photographer?

History Channel, complaint number 38


All the content from History Channel International is gone -- it redirects to the other web site. Worse yet. The feedback page to let them know of the problem returns an error when attempting to send a message to them.

Catholic Google

I just noticed a new front-end for filtering Google search results.

Here is the search for "Madonna" on catholicgoogle.com

Here is the search for "Madonna" on google.com. Try it.


I suspect it is going to be shut down shortly or renamed as it seems to be violation of Google's trademark, but I am not a lawyer.

People dancing in those Flash ads

I wonder if there's a human being somewhere who's collecting one billionth of a cent when the ad is displayed. Perhaps it was entirely animated. Or perhaps it's in the public domain which could explain why it is so ubiquitous.
