Portman feels 'like an old hag'
Oscar favourite Natalie Portman feels like an "old hag," because she's been working as an actress for almost 20 years.
The Black Swan star kickstarted her career as a child model, before working on Broadway and landing her first film role in controversial 1994 movie Leon when she was just 12 years old.
After working tirelessly for the last two decades, Portman has been lauded for her role as a deranged dancer in the ballet thriller, winning several honours and becoming favourite to walk away with the Best Actress Academy Award later this month (Feb11).
But Portman admits she's struggling to cope with all the sudden acclaim because she's been around for so long.
She tells the Los Angeles Times, "I made my first movie when I was 11. I'm an old hag. I guess it's pretty common with actors, to be doing this for 18 years, but it's extreme.
"I feel like I'm on another planet or something right now. It's not quite sinking in. I feel really lucky. It's something that's completely wonderful, and I have a very definite goal I'm working toward with that."

Natalie Portman Debuts Baby Bump At SAG!
Natalie Portman is joining forces with a former boyfriend of Paris Hilton to produce movies.
The Oscar-nominated actress’ production company, handsomecharlie films, will develop projects with 1821 Pictures, a firm run by Greek shipping heir Paris Latsis.
The 18-month arrangement calls for 1821 to provide overhead funds to handsomecharlie with the opportunity for the two companies to co-produce projects that come out of the partnership.
Portman, a favorite to win the best actress Oscar on Feb. 27 for her role as a ballerina in “Black Swan,” has been slowly stepping into the producing realm. She made her debut as a producer on “Hesher,” an indie drama that starred Joseph Gordon-Levitt, produced and starred in the recent box office champ “No Strings Attached,” and is an executive producer on the family drama “The Other Woman,” which IFC Films releases Friday.
One of handsomecharlie’s hot projects is the adaptation of “Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.” That project is set up Lionsgate and in search of a director. Portman is partnered at handsomecharlie with producer Annette Savitch.
Latsis, who runs 1821 with Terry Douglas, was engaged to fellow socialite Hilton in 2005. Latsis and Dougas were executive producers on the Cameron Diaz thriller “The Box” and the Ricky Gervais comedy “The Invention of Lying,” neither of which made much of an impact at the box office.

Natalie Portman And Mila Kunis: Two Different Takes On SAG Fashion
Natalie Portman And Mila Kunis:
Two Different Takes On SAG Fashion
Last night was most certainly Natalie Portman‘s night. Not only did she snag ‘Best Actress’ for her role in Darren Aronofsky’s ballet drama ‘Black Swan’, but she owned the SAG red carpet while wearing a white column gown which beautifully showed off her growing baby bump. Talk about popping!
This is the first set of pictures where Natalie truly looks pregnant. Doesn’t she look beautiful!?
Not to be outdone, Mila Kunis opted for a colorful red chiffon dress from the Alexander McQueen resort. As Rachel Zoe would say, ‘I DIE’.
Which look do you prefer? Natalie Portman’s SAG dress or Mila Kunis’ SAG dress?

Natalie Portman, Colin Firth Take Top SAG Awards
Natalie Portman and The King's Speech's Colin Firth, along with The Fighter's Melissa Leo and Christian Bale, might just as well clear their mantels.
They all took home Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday night, a reliable prognosticator of the Feb. 27 Oscars.
Among those she thanked, Portman singled out her parents, "who taught me to work the hardest and never to be an a--hole, that wasn't acceptable."
Firth, acknowledging those in the room, joked, "I'd like to thank security for letting me into the building."
Leo brought along six of the seven women who played her daughters in the fight drama, while Bale took to the stage of L.A.'s Shrine Auditorium with the real-life character he plays, Dicky Eklund.
Outstanding movie ensemble was the cast of The King's Speech. Besides Firth, they include Helena Bonham-Carter and Geoffrey Rush.
Television
In TV honors, Hot in Cleveland leading comedy actress Betty White, 89, fondled the bare backside of her award, which is called the Actor. 30 Rock's Alec Baldwin won his fifth SAG Award as that show's leading actor in a comedy.
Modern Family took the best comedy ensemble cast award, while newcomer Boardwalk Empire won double honors, for leading actor in a dramatic series, Steve Buscemi, and for its ensemble cast.
The Good Wife star Julianna Margulies, recognized for her leading role in a drama, thanked her in-laws for producing "a superior person" in her husband, Keith Lieberthal.

Natalie Portman’s Parents Keep Her Grounded
Natalie Portman’s Parents Keep Her Grounded
‘Black Swan‘ actress Natalie Portman shares that her parents are supportive of her acting, but are hoping she’ll go to grad school.
“My parents are the opposite of stage parents in that they’re still not so sure about the whole Hollywood thing. I got a degree in psychology at Harvard and my dad is still saying, ‘This being an actress thing is cute, but don’t you think it’s time to go to grad school?’ They are amazing parents who listen to me and respect what I say, and the reason I’m not totally crazy is I know they’re at home, happy, loving me and proud of me no matter how badly I fail. If you have that in your life, you feel free to do anything.”The newly engaged star also shared that she has another fella in her life that loves her unconditionally (and it’s not fiance Benjamin Millepied:
“I have an amazing dog called Whiz, a black and brown Yorkie – lots of shades going on in that coat. He turned four last Halloween. He has this amazing intuition of knowing how people feel and when he’s in a room full of people he’ll sit next to the one person who’s thinking, ‘I don’t really like dogs,’ then he’ll roll over and show them his belly. He’s like a little moving teddy bear. He’s the sweetest thing.”I’m sure her parents are excited about becoming grandparents! And if it weren’t for that “Hollywood thing” Natalie Portman is doing – she never would’ve met their future son-in-law!

Natalie Portman Opens Up About Her Pregnancy And Engagement
Were you as shocked as I was yesterday when Natalie Portman’s rep confirmed that the ‘Black Swan’ star is pregnant and engaged? I mean, OMG! Now Natalie herself has released a statement about the exciting news.
“I have always kept my private life private,” the actress said, “But I will say that I am indescribably happy and feel very grateful to have this experience.”I guess there was really no way Natalie could keep this private: she’s probably going to be at all the awards shows because of her performance in ‘Black Swan’ and she also has the movie ‘No Strings Attached,’ ‘Your Highness,’ and ‘Thor‘ to promote in 2011.
Natalie’s already had an amazing year in 2010 with all the accolades she’s getting for ‘Black Swan’; it looks like 2011 is shaping up to be even more memorable!
