Jaime Pressly pleads not guilty to DUI in LA

Jaime Pressly has pleaded not guilty to drunken driving charges in Los Angeles. Court records show former "My Name is Earl" co-star entered the plea through her attorney Friday.
Prosecutors in the city of Santa Monica charged Pressly with driving under the influence and having a blood alcohol content of more .20 on Wednesday.
Pressly was arrested Jan. 5 after police say she was stopped for a traffic violation. She was released after posting $15,000 bail.
Records show a judge also ordered the 33-year-old model-actress to attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings at least twice a week.
The office of her attorney, Richard Hutton, confirmed the plea and that the case will be called again on March 18.

Actress Jaime Pressly was charged with two counts of drunken driving on Tuesday, following her arrest last month in Santa Monica, California.
Pressly, 33, best known for her Emmy-winning role as a trailer-trash temptress in "My Name is Earl," had a blood-alcohol level of 0.20 percent or more, which is more than twice the legal limit of 0.08 percent, according to the complaint filed by the Santa Monica city attorney's office.
Her arraignment is scheduled for February 7, although an attorney can enter a plea on her behalf.
"My Name is Earl" ended its four-year run on U.S. television in 2009. Pressly filed for divorce from her husband of 15 months on January 21, 16 days after her arrest.

This may help explain Jaime Pressly’s surprising DUI arrest: it sounds like she has a lot going on in her personal life. The former ‘My Name is Earl’ star has split from her husband, Simran Singh.

“They are done,” one insider tells UsMagazine.com of the pair, who wed in September 2009.
Adds another, “It’s over. I don’t think they have officially filed anything yet though. I think it comes down to she married this guy too fast. He seemed like a good guy but he is super full of himself and puts her down for everything. He picks fights with her for any little thing.”

The second source says Jaime’s main concern is how this split will affect her son, Dezi, whom she had with her ex-fiance, Eric Cubiche.

Sometimes things just don’t work out. Hopefully they’ll find a way to do this that makes things less stressful for Dezi.
