Diane Kruger has landed the lead role in the Benoît Jacquot-directed “Farewell, My Queen” – a movie focusing on the life of Marie Antoinette during the final days of the French Revolution. Eva Green had originally snagged the role, but pulled out last minute.

Diane has been quietly keeping busy with overseas filming, so this move comes as no surprise.  The movie is set to begin filming this spring. Lea Seydoux and Gerard Depardieu make up the rest of the cast.

The French fashion brand sponsored last season’s new production gala event for La Fille du Regiment at the Met.

There were a lot of celebrities in stylish gowns and glamour views.

Held at Lincoln Center’s Metropolitan Opera House, lovely ladies including Claire Danes, Mary Kate Olsen, Diane Kruger, Becki Newton and Ginnifer Goodwin all graced the red carpet.
